Supporting ill and injured Children

The Children’s Hospital Trust is an independent non-profit organisation that raises funds to support specific projects and programmes to help advance child healthcare through the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital in Cape Town. Built in Cape Town in 1956, the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital is the first and only stand-alone tertiary hospital in sub-Saharan Africa dedicated entirely to child healthcare. Annique Rooibos and their Consultants have donated R571 000 and 485 Rare Bears to date to this amazing cause. The Rare Bear Projectempowers ladies of Kya Sands, who make the bears. It provides them with a skill that enables them to provide for their families. Two-thirds of each stuffed toy donation is paid back to the lady who made that bear. To date, this project has seen over 60 women up-skilled in the art of crocheting and provided them with a sustainable, income-generating opportunity by making #RareBears which in turn are either donated to a patient or sold to the public.

Annique's incredible Rooibos-based products are available in our Beauty and Wellness category. And we have a few Annique Rooibos products in our Truffle Piglets category.
