A Family Journey Begins
When Nick and Brenda Wilkinson bought RIO LARGO in 2010, they weren’t just buying a farm, they were investing in a dream. The estate, lovingly developed by Carlos Raposo since 2003, became their canvas for something extraordinary. Located along the Breede River, RIO LARGO nurtures over 18 000 trees, grown with precision, irrigated on demand, and nourished with rich compost made on the farm. The annual cycle starts with blossoms in October and ends with harvests from February to July. All olives are handpicked and processed immediately to lock in freshness. Each Italian cultivar, Frantoio, Leccino, Coratino, and FS17 , is processed and stored individually under liquid nitrogen. Every order is packed on demand ensuring freshness in ever bottle. RIO LARGO oils have won acclaim across South Africa, the USA, Europe, and Japan.
